Sacrifice

About Sacrifice
Formed in 1983 in Scarborough, Ontario, Sacrifice is a foundational act in the Canadian thrash metal scene. Alongside bands like Razor and Voivod, they helped define the country's early extreme metal sound through a style characterized by rapid tempos, intricate guitar work, and aggressive songwriting. The band gained national prominence during the 1980s, evolving from their raw 1986 debut, Torment in Fire, to the more refined intensity of 1987’s Forward to Termination. Their 1990 release, Soldiers of Misfortune, continued this trajectory before the group eventually disbanded in 1994. The band’s classic lineup featured vocalist and guitarist Rob Urbinati, guitarist Joe Rico, bassist Scott Watts, and drummer Gus Pynn.
