Sacrifice
About Sacrifice
Formed in 1983 in Scarborough, Ontario, Sacrifice is a foundational Canadian thrash metal band. The group became a prominent fixture of the 1980s Toronto underground scene, known for a sound defined by speed, aggressive riffing, and twin-guitar interplay. Their second studio album, Forward to Termination, was released in 1987 and is widely regarded as a landmark of their discography. After an initial run that concluded in 1993, the band reunited in 2006 and remains active. Alongside peers such as Razor and Voivod, Sacrifice is frequently cited as a key contributor to the development of the Canadian thrash metal vanguard.
