Herzog
About Herzog
Herzog is a black metal entity based in Brussels, Belgium. Initially conceived by Asgeir Amort years prior to its formal emergence, the project debuted with the 2023 album Furnace, released through Amor Fati Productions. The band’s sound incorporates elements of black metal with occasional death metal influences, characterized by complex compositions and intense vocal delivery. The 2026 follow-up, Mugwort, was recorded between 2024 and 2025 and features contributions from musicians including Hochofen, TGTH, and Isa Myling. The project has maintained a consistent association with producer Déhà, who handled mixing and mastering duties for their releases.
