Thorybos
About Thorybos
Thorybos is a German extreme metal band formed in 2008 in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The group operates within the black and death metal genres, often associated with the war metal style. Their sound is characterized by aggressive, driving guitar riffs, blast-beat percussion, and a hostile, uncompromising delivery. The band's name is derived from the ancient Greek word for riot or disorder. Lyrical themes frequently explore dark and mystic aspects of ancient history and culture. Thorybos has maintained a consistent presence in the underground scene through various demos, full-length releases, and split recordings, including collaborations with acts such as Truppensturm.
