Throne of Heresy is a Swedish band from Mjölby that formed in 2009. Initially established as a thrash and death metal act, the group released their debut album, The Stench of Deceit, in 2012. Their musical direction evolved toward blackened death metal on subsequent releases, including the 2016 album Antioch and the 2017 concept album Decameron. The band's sound has been characterized by a blend of death metal influences and melodic elements.
