Sad
About Sad
Formed in Athens, Greece, in 2005, Sad is a prolific black metal duo consisting of instrumentalist Ungod and vocalist Nadir. The band explores themes of sadness, negativity, and surrealism through a sound that draws heavily from Scandinavian black metal influences rather than traditional Hellenic styles. Over two decades, the project has maintained a consistent output of full-length albums and splits, including their 2025 release, Fullmoon's Bestial Awakening. Since 2020, the band has been associated with the label Purity Through Fire, continuing their pursuit of cold, atmospheric black metal.
