True Black Dawn is a Finnish black metal band formed in 1992, originally operating under the name Nocturnal Feast before adopting the moniker Black Dawn in 1993. The group eventually transitioned to their current name following legal disputes with an American band over the rights to the Black Dawn title. Throughout the 1990s, the band established themselves within the underground scene through various demos, most notably 1993's War Against Christians. Their debut full-length album, Blood for Satan, was released in 2001. The band's lyrical themes are centered on Satanism. After a significant hiatus, the group returned to active status and continues to operate within the extreme metal underground.
