Exhorder
About Exhorder
Formed in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1985, Exhorder is an American band recognized for their role in developing the groove-oriented thrash metal sound. Emerging from the local hardcore scene, the group gained attention for their technical approach, characterized by syncopated, chugging guitar riffs and aggressive vocal delivery. Following the release of their early studio albums in the early 1990s, the band experienced a tumultuous history marked by multiple hiatuses and lineup changes. After a long recording absence, the band returned to the studio to release their third full-length album, Mourn the Southern Skies, in 2019.
