Omegavortex is a German black/death metal band formed in 2017, serving as the successor to the project previously known as Ambevilence, which originated in 2007. The group is characterized by a chaotic, abrasive sound that blends blistering blast beats and corrosive riffs with cosmic horror themes. Their debut full-length album, Black Abomination Spawn, was released in 2020 through Invictus Productions. The band’s approach emphasizes a dense, dissonant atmosphere, utilizing semi-atonal phrasings and rapid, cyclone-like guitar patterns to evoke a sense of alienation and cosmic annihilation. Their work is noted for its intentional, raw production style, designed to maintain an aggressive and uncompromising sonic intensity.
