Soulrot
About Soulrot
Formed in 2013 in the port city of Valparaíso, Chile, Soulrot is a death metal band that draws inspiration from the traditional Scandinavian death metal sound. Their musical approach incorporates the characteristic chainsaw guitar distortion associated with that style, while exploring lyrical themes centered on Lovecraftian, cosmic horror, and supernatural forces. The band's discography includes several releases, such as the 2018 full-length Nameless Hideous Manifestations and the 2020 album Victims of Spiritual Warfare. Soulrot continues to operate as an active entity within the Chilean extreme metal scene.
