Desolator
About Desolator
Desolator is a death metal band from Stockholm, Sweden, formed in 2009. Initially rooted in the classic Swedish death metal sound, the group evolved toward a more progressive, monolithic style characterized by dissonant riffing and atmospheric elements. This shift became prominent following their 2013 debut album, Unearthly Monument, and continued through the 2016 EP Spawn of Misanthropy. Their 2020 full-length release, Sermon of Apathy, further refined this approach, blending Swedish death metal foundations with influences reminiscent of American acts such as Immolation and Morbid Angel. The band remained active until 2023.
