Formed in Oakton, Virginia, in 1990, Arghoslent is an American melodic death metal band. The group is recognized for a musical style that integrates traditional heavy metal influences, characterized by galloping guitar riffs and leads often compared to bluegrass techniques. Throughout their career, the band has maintained an active presence in the underground extreme metal scene, releasing several full-length albums including their 2023 effort, Resuscitation of the Revanchists. Their lyrical content, which focuses on themes such as history, warfare, and racial ideology, has been a subject of significant external criticism. The band continues to operate under the Weltenfeind label.
