Belial

About Belial

Formed in Oulu, Finland, in 1991, Belial emerged as a band blending black and death metal. Their early output, including the 1992 EP Wisdom of Darkness and the 1993 full-length Never Again, captured a raw, aggressive sound recorded at Tico Tico Studios. The band's initial lyrical themes focused on darkness and occultism. While they were active in the early 1990s, the group later shifted their musical direction toward rock and punk influences before eventually disbanding. The Crypt features their early extreme metal material, representing the band's foundational period in the Finnish underground scene.
