About Brodequin
Formed in 1998 in Knoxville, Tennessee, Brodequin is a brutal death metal band known for incorporating historical themes into their music. The group takes its name from a medieval torture device, a subject that frequently informs their lyrical content alongside broader explorations of historical violence, suffering, and execution techniques. The band was established by brothers Jamie and Mike Bailey. Following an initial period of activity that lasted until 2008, the group returned in 2015. Their discography includes full-length releases such as Methods of Execution, Instruments of Torture, Festival of Death, and the 2024 album Harbinger of Woe.
