About Ofermod

Formed in Norrköping, Sweden, in 1996 by Mika "Belfagor" Hakola, Ofermod is a black and death metal project. The band initially gained attention with the 1998 EP Mystérion Tés Anomias, recorded at Necromorbus Studio. Following a period of inactivity and various lineup changes, the band released their debut full-length album, Tiamtü, in 2008. Musically, the project transitioned from raw black metal toward a more deliberate, death metal-influenced sound. Ofermod remains an active entity within the Swedish extreme metal underground.
