Demilich

About Demilich

Formed in Kuopio, Finland, in 1990, Demilich is a technical and avant-garde death metal band founded by Antti Boman and Mikko Virnes. The group is known for its complex, atonal riffing and Boman's distinct, low-register guttural vocals. Following a series of demo tapes, the band released their only full-length album, Nespithe, in 1993 before disbanding shortly thereafter. Demilich experienced intermittent periods of activity, including a brief reformation in 2005. The 2014 compilation 20th Adversary of Emptiness serves as a comprehensive collection of the band's recorded output, spanning their early demos, the Nespithe album, and material recorded during their 2006 comeback.
