About Doom Snake Cult

Doom Snake Cult was a death/doom metal band formed in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the late 1980s. The group operated as a distinct entity alongside Goatlord, with whom they shared members and a common scene. The band is best known for their full-length album, Love, Sorrow, Doom, which was recorded in 1990 and eventually released in 1992 through JL America. Characterized by slow, heavy riffs and the harrowing vocal delivery of Ace Still, the band’s sound avoided blast beats in favor of a trance-like, doom-oriented approach. Following their period of activity, the band faded into obscurity, though their work has seen subsequent reissues on vinyl.
