About Kaamos

Formed in Stockholm in 1998, Kaamos was a Swedish death metal band known for their dark, occult-themed sound. The group took their name from the Finnish term for polar night. Throughout their existence, they released two full-length albums: their self-titled debut in 2002 and the follow-up, Lucifer Rising, in 2005. The band maintained an active presence in the European live circuit before announcing their dissolution in 2006. Their final recordings were released posthumously on the 2007 MCD, Scales of Leviathan. Kaamos operated with a focus on death metal characterized by its bleak atmosphere and thematic exploration of darkness and Satanism.
