About Dead Head

Formed in Kampen, Netherlands, in 1989, Dead Head is a veteran extreme metal outfit that bridges the gap between aggressive thrash and death metal. Originally established by Tom van Dijk, Robbie Woning, Ronnie van der Wey, and Hans Spijker, the band set out to create some of the most intense music in the European scene. Influenced by acts such as Dark Angel, Sadus, and Possessed, their sound is characterized by high-velocity riffing and a relentless, percussive approach. Over their decades-long career, the band has maintained a consistent output, including notable releases like The Feast Begins at Dawn, Dream Deceiver, Kill Division, and Swine Plague. They continue to operate with a focus on raw, uncompromising metal, currently signed to Hammerheart Records.
