Formed in Lahti, Finland, in 1989, Inferia is a long-running extreme metal act that fuses death metal and grindcore. The band is recognized for a style they describe as porndeath-grind, incorporating lyrical themes of death, gore, sex, and pornography. Their sound draws from early grindcore and North American death metal influences, characterized by aggressive vocal delivery and high-tempo instrumentation. Throughout their career, the group has maintained an active presence in the underground scene, including the release of their 2015 full-length album, Masterpiece.
