About Decameron

Decameron was a Swedish melodic death and black metal band from Hunnebostrand and Kungshamn, active from 1991 to 1997. Originally formed as Nocrofobic in 1988, the group transitioned into Decameron and released their sole full-length album, My Shadow..., through No Fashion Records in 1996. Their musical style blended melodic death metal with black metal elements, often incorporating thrash influences. The band's lyrical themes focused on darkness, Satanism, and issues surrounding life and death. Following their split-up in 1997, the band's work remained a notable example of the mid-1990s Swedish extreme metal scene.
