About Hades Almighty
Formed in Bergen, Norway, in 1992, Hades Almighty—originally known as Hades—is a foundational act within the Norwegian black metal scene. Founded by Jørn Inge Tunsberg and Remi Andersen, the band initially established a raw sound rooted in black and Viking metal. Following legal pressure from an American band of the same name, they adopted the moniker Hades Almighty in 1998. Over their career, the group evolved from their early pagan and anti-religious themes toward a more experimental, progressive black metal style. Their discography includes seminal releases such as the 1994 demo Alone Walkyng and the 1997 album The Dawn of the Dying Sun, both of which remain significant entries in their catalog.
