About Sufism

Sufism is a brutal death metal band from Indonesia, formed in 2014. The group gained initial attention with their 2015 EP, Reptilia Buas, followed by a demo in 2016. After a period of inactivity, the band returned to release their debut full-length album, Republik Rakyat Jelata, in 2020 through the label Brutal Mind. Their musical style features intense blast beats, guttural vocal patterns, and organic production. Lyrically, the band explores themes related to national culture and pride, often contrasting their aggressive sound with imagery of rural Indonesian landscapes.
