About Human Agony

Formed in 2016 in Victoria, British Columbia, Human Agony is a Canadian extreme metal quartet operating at the intersection of black and death metal. The band emerged through a series of early demos and split releases before issuing the 2018 EP Goring Christ. Their debut full-length, Putrescence of Calvary, followed in 2019. Drawing stylistic comparisons to war metal acts such as Conqueror, Revenge, and Blasphemy, the group is noted for a songwriting approach that emphasizes structural complexity alongside raw, abrasive intensity. Human Agony maintains an active presence in the underground scene, characterized by a focused catalog and a reputation for aggressive live performances.
