Scaphism

About Scaphism

Scaphism is a death metal band originally formed in Massachusetts in 2007 as a solo project by guitarist Evan Woolley. The group is known for exploring lyrical themes centered on horror, pain, gore, and death. In 2012, the band released the recording Festering Human Remains through Horror Pain Gore Death Productions. While the project originated in the Northeast, later iterations of the band have been associated with the Texas brutal death metal scene, featuring a lineup including Isaiah Vargas, Cameron Wiltfong, Jose Soto, and Jacob Vargas. The band continues to contribute to the extreme metal underground with releases such as Egregious Corpse Deformity.
