About Craniotomy
Formed in 1998 in Hlohovec, Slovakia, Craniotomy is a long-standing brutal death metal act. The band has maintained a consistent presence in the underground scene, exploring lyrical themes of butchery, gore, sickness, violence, and religion. Throughout their career, they have released multiple full-length albums, including the 2017 compilation Old Poetry of Rotting Flesh, which showcases their aggressive, focused sound. The group has undergone various lineup changes since their inception, with founding members Lukas Siska and Roman Halmo remaining central to their output. Currently signed to Amputated Vein Records, Craniotomy continues to contribute to the Slovak extreme metal landscape with their signature style of death metal.
