Abysmal Descent

Abysmal Descent is a death metal band based in Brussels, Belgium. Formed by musicians with backgrounds in acts such as Dehuman, Putrid Offal, Echo Solar Void, and Saqra’s Cult, the group coalesced into its current lineup to pursue a sound rooted in traditional death metal. Their debut full-length album, Dismal Thoughts, was recorded at Blackout Studio in Brussels and released in 2025 through Nuclear Winter Records. The band’s musical approach combines cavernous, old-school death metal riffing with atmospheric elements, drawing stylistic parallels to the oppressive weight of bands like Incantation, Immolation, and Morbid Angel.
