Firespawn

Firespawn is a Swedish death metal band based in Stockholm, formed in 2014. Initially established under the name Fireborn, the group features musicians with backgrounds in prominent Swedish acts such as Entombed, Necrophobic, Unleashed, and Defleshed. The band’s musical style incorporates elements of both North American and Swedish death metal, characterized by heavy riffing, driving percussion, and occasional doom metal passages. Their lyrical themes focus on occultism, violence, and death. Following the passing of original vocalist L-G Petrov in 2021, the band announced their return in 2025 with Jörgen Sandström on vocals. Their 2019 full-length release, Abominate, continues their exploration of aggressive, groove-oriented death metal.
