Sacramentum

Formed in Sweden in 1992, Sacramentum is a melodic black and death metal band that emerged from the early 1990s underground scene. Initially established under the name Tumulus, the group gained recognition for their atmospheric and aggressive sound, characterized by intricate guitar work and a distinct Swedish production aesthetic. Their discography includes the foundational EP Finis Malorum and full-length albums such as Far Away from the Sun, The Coming of Chaos, and Thy Black Destiny. Throughout their career, the band collaborated with notable producers including Dan Swanö and Andy LaRocque. Their lyrical themes frequently explore dark fantasy, chaos, and Satanism. Following a period of inactivity, the band reunited in 2019, leading to subsequent reissues and remasters of their classic material.
