Bog Body

Formed in New York in 2016, Bog Body is a guitar-less duo consisting of SVR on bass and JP on drums. The pair shares vocal duties, crafting a subterranean sound that blends black, death, and sludge metal. Their music is defined by heavily distorted, bass-driven grooves and lo-fi production, evoking themes of death, sacrifice, mythology, and religion. Following their 2018 demo, Through the Burial Bog, and the 2020 MLP, The Gate of Grief, the band released their debut full-length album, Cryonic Crevasse Cult, in 2022 via Profound Lore Records. Their work is characterized by a minimalist, ritualistic approach that captures an atmosphere of decay and primordial dread.
