Band Profile

Blood Red Throne

Formed in 1998 in Kristiansand, Norway, by guitarists Daniel "Død" Olaisen and Terje "Tchort" Schei, Blood Red Throne emerged during the height of the Norwegian black metal scene as a dedicated death metal project. Drawing inspiration from acts like Death, Cannibal Corpse, and Deicide, the band developed a signature sound that blends traditional and Swedish death metal with groove-oriented riffs and subtle black metal influences. Known for their consistent output and energetic live performances, the group has toured globally alongside bands such as Suffocation and Cryptopsy. Their 2019 release, Fit to Kill, continues their legacy of delivering no-frills, aggressive death metal, maintaining the band's long-standing commitment to the genre.
