Sarcasm

Formed in 1990 in Uppsala, Sweden, Sarcasm emerged from the local underground with a series of demos that transitioned from raw, gore-oriented death metal toward a more complex, melodic sound. The band was active until 1994, briefly reunited in 1997, and returned to full activity in 2015. Their modern output blends death metal with blackened elements, characterized by abrasive, rasping vocals and intricate, concept-driven songwriting. Throughout their career, Sarcasm has explored themes ranging from death and darkness to philosophy and the universe. Their discography includes full-length releases such as Within the Sphere of Ethereal Minds, Stellar Stream Obscured, Esoteric Tales of the Unserene, Mourninghoul, and Lifeforce Omnibound, alongside various compilations.
