Fimbulwinter

Fimbulwinter was a Norwegian black metal band formed in Oslo in 1992. The group was part of the early Norwegian black metal scene and featured Shagrath on lead guitar, Necronos on vocals and rhythm guitar, Skoll on bass, and Per Morten on drums. The band recorded their material in Brumunddal, Norway, during late 1992. Their only full-length album, Servants of Sorcery, was released in 1994 through Hot Records and included a cover of Celtic Frost's "Morbid Tales." Fimbulwinter disbanded shortly after the album's release, with members moving on to other projects such as Dimmu Borgir and Ulver. The band's name is derived from the Fimbulvetr event in Norse mythology.
