Ripping Corpse
Formed in 1987 in Red Bank, New Jersey, Ripping Corpse was a death and thrash metal band active until 1995. The group released four demos—Death Warmed Over (1987), Splattered Remains (1989), Glorious Depravity (1990), and Industry (1992)—alongside their sole full-length studio album, Dreaming with the Dead (1991). The band's lineup featured vocalist Scott Ruth, guitarists Shaune Kelley and Erik Rutan, drummer Brandon Thomas, and bassists Dave Bizzigotti and Scott Hornick. Their music was characterized by horror-themed lyrics and a high-tempo approach influenced by thrash and hardcore. Following the bankruptcy of their label, Kraze/Maze, the band ceased operations before completing a second album. Members later pursued projects including Morbid Angel, Hate Eternal, and Dim Mak.
