Pharmacist

Formed in Japan in 2020, Pharmacist is an extreme metal project featuring Pharmacist (vocals, guitars, bass) and Therapeutist (drums). The band operates at the intersection of death metal, goregrind, thrash, and grindcore, drawing stylistic inspiration from the foundational sounds of late 1980s goregrind. Following a prolific initial period of singles and EPs, the project released its debut full-length, Medical Renditions of Grinding Decomposition, in 2020. This was followed by the 2022 album Flourishing Extremities on Unspoiled Mental Grounds and the 2026 release Vertebrae After Vertebrae. The band's output is characterized by a focus on surgical precision and a blend of straightforward death metal structures with goregrind aesthetics.
