Band Profile
Master
Master is a death and thrash metal band originally formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1983 by bassist and vocalist Paul Speckmann. Following the dissolution of his previous project, War Cry, Speckmann established Master to pursue a faster, more aggressive sound influenced by Motörhead, Venom, and Slayer. The band has undergone numerous lineup changes throughout its history and eventually relocated to Uherské Hradiště, Czechia. Their discography includes releases such as the self-titled full-length Master, On the Seventh Day God Created... Master, and Faith Is in Season. The group's lyrical themes frequently address politics, death, religion, and society.
