Resin Tomb

Resin Tomb is an Australian extreme metal band formed in Brisbane in 2019. The five-piece ensemble features members from various regional acts, including Snorlax, Descent, and Siberian Hell Sounds. Their sound is characterized by a dissonant blend of death metal, sludge, and grindcore, defined by aggressive, throat-tearing vocals and complex, rhythm-driven songwriting. Following their self-titled 2020 EP and the 2022 release Unconsecrated // Ascendancy, the band gained international attention with their 2024 debut full-length, Cerebral Purgatory, released via Transcending Obscurity Records. The group continued their output with the 2027 release, Fetid Existence. Resin Tomb is noted for a compact, intense musical approach that avoids unnecessary filler, focusing instead on layered, claustrophobic compositions.
