Bolt Thrower

Bolt Thrower was a death metal band from Coventry, England, active from 1986 until 2016. Formed by guitarists Barry Thomson and Gavin Ward, the group evolved from early influences including crust punk and heavy metal into a distinct death metal sound characterized by melodic, groove-based arrangements. Throughout their thirty-year career, the band released eight studio albums, including The IVth Crusade, ...for Victory, Mercenary, Honour, Valour, Pride, and their final studio effort, Those Once Loyal. Their lyrical themes frequently drew inspiration from the Warhammer fantasy universe. The band maintained a consistent musical identity across their discography, touring internationally before disbanding following the death of drummer Martin Kearns.
