Bloodbath

Formed in Stockholm in 1998, Bloodbath is a Swedish death metal supergroup established by members of Katatonia, Opeth, and Edge of Sanity. Initially conceived as a tribute to the old-school death metal sound, the band draws heavy inspiration from both the classic Swedish scene and the Florida death metal movement. Throughout their career, they have maintained a focus on themes of blasphemy, gore, and mortality. Their discography includes seminal releases such as Resurrection Through Carnage and The Fathomless Mastery, alongside live documentation like The Wacken Carnage and Bloodbath Over Bloodstock. The group continues to explore the darker facets of the genre with modern full-length efforts including The Arrow of Satan Is Drawn and Survival of the Sickest.
