Bewitched

Formed in Umeå, Sweden, in 1995, Bewitched is a band blending black, thrash, and heavy metal. The group emerged with a sound rooted in the aggressive traditions of 1980s metal, often incorporating occult and satanic themes. Their discography includes full-length albums such as Diabolical Desecration (1996), Pentagram Prayer (1997), At the Gates of Hell (1999), Rise of the Antichrist (2002), and Spiritual Warfare (2006), alongside the EP Atrocities in A-Minor (2004). Following a period of inactivity, the band returned to active status in the 2020s, marked by the release of the compilation Encyclopedia of Evil & Hell Comes to Essen and the 2026 full-length Diabolical Death Mass.
