A Canorous Quintet

A Canorous Quintet is a melodic death metal band from Kungsängen, Sweden, formed in 1991. Originally established as A Canorous Quartet, the group adopted its current name in 1993 to reflect a change in membership. The band released the EP As Tears in 1995, followed by the full-length albums Silence of the World Beyond in 1996 and The Only Pure Hate in 1998. After disbanding in 1999, the group re-activated in 2016. Their discography also includes the EP Reflections of the Mirror (2012) and the live album Alive from the World Beyond (2018). The band's lyrical themes frequently explore concepts of death, anxiety, negativity, and hopelessness.
