War

War was a Swedish black metal project formed in 1995 in Stockholm. Functioning as a side project, the band featured members from various established acts, including Abruptum, Ophthalamia, Dark Funeral, and Hypocrisy. The group focused on a primitive style of black metal, with lyrical themes centered on Satanism, anti-Christianity, war, and hatred. Their discography includes the 1997 EP Total War and the 1999 full-length album We Are War. Due to the existence of another band with the same name, the project later operated under the moniker Total War. The band was active from 1995 to 1999.
