Band Profile
Devastation
Devastation was a United States-based band that operated within the intersection of death and thrash metal. Active during the late 1980s and early 1990s, the group released three full-length albums: Signs of Life (1989), Idolatry (1991), and Total Fucking Ripping Death (2007). Their work, particularly the 1991 release Idolatry, was recorded at Morrisound Recording with producer Scott Burns. The band's sound is characterized by a heavy, aggressive approach that bridged the gap between thrash and death metal, often drawing comparisons to contemporaries like Dark Angel and Demolition Hammer.
