God Dethroned

Formed in 1990 in Beilen, Netherlands, God Dethroned is a blackened death metal band led by founder, vocalist, and guitarist Henri Sattler. Following their 1992 debut, The Christhunt, the group experienced periods of inactivity and various lineup changes. Their discography explores diverse themes, ranging from occult and anti-Christian subjects to historical narratives, most notably the World War I concept albums such as Passiondale. The band continues to record and perform, maintaining a sound that blends aggressive death metal foundations with blackened atmospheric elements across their extensive catalog.
